Title: Aloha Hawaii [Blank photo album]
Publication: [Hawai'i]: [Manufacturer not identified], 1950.
Description: Blank photo album in hand-woven wrappers, likely created for the Hawaiian tourist market circa 1950. 7 x 10 inches; [26] leaves of black card stock, on which photos were meant to be pasted. In woven lauhala wrappers with a niho-style edge, "Aloha Hawaii" painted in black on front cover, with woven decorative accents, stab-sewn with raffia string. Wrappers toned at edges with a few small spots of soiling, spots of glue residue on first interior leaf. Very Good+. Lauhala refers to the leaves of the hala tree, which is native to Hawai'i and is an important part of Hawaiian cultural traditions.
