Description: Complete six-volume set of miniature books containing illustrations of Spain by artist Károly Andruskó. Consisting entirely of full-page woodcuts depicting scenes in Castilla and Andalusia, Cordoba, Granada, Madrid, Sevilla, and Toledo. One of 400 copies published by the author and printed from the original wood blocks by Mladi Grafičar in Ada. Second edition; woodcut title page shows original place and date of publication (Senta, 1978). Bound by Varnyú György and Varnyú Valéria in full red cloth over boards, with gilt lettering, in a pink sleeve with "Spain" stamped in gilt. 2 x 1.75 inches; 6 volumes (unpaged). Light wear to the sleeve and fore-edge of a few volumes, else clean and crisp. A Near Fine, collectible copy of this six-volume pictorial travelogue. Károly Andruskó was called "the greatest miniature book artist" by miniature book expert Louis W. Bondy. Andruskó was also known for his woodcut bookplates.
