Bound in publisher's full marbled paper over boards, with printed paper label on spine and a red string marker ending in a red Cross of Lorraine (Tory's printer's device). 7.75 x 5 inches; [60] pages. From the collection of Arthur Williams Hall (1873-1952) of Massachusetts, bibliophile and manufacturer of laboratory equipment, with his acquisition note in pencil on the front pastedown; thence by descent through three generations. Moderate sunning to spine, light toning to interior. Very Good+ or better.
Bruce Rogers, writing during the Great Depression and noting the red ink used in bookkeeping, explains in the introduction that he printed the book in "that cheerful colour, to make some small semblance of gaiety in this dolorous world." Reference: Haas, I. Bruce Rogers, a bibliography, 160.
