Izmailov and Duchess A. B. Yusupova. In 1799 she married the aristocrat Prince Sergei Golitsyn, but the two soon separated with the prince remaining in Moscow and the princess moving to Saint Petersburg. She was known for her salons in St. Petersburg, attended by writers like A.S. Pushkin. Her interests in metaphysics, mathematics, and mysticism resulted in this work. M.C. Ladrague in "Le Bibliophile Belge" (1874) notes that the three parts of this work likely first appeared in Saint Petersburg. Not in Worldcat.
