George Brumder (1839-1910) was a German-American publisher based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He became the largest publisher of German-language materials in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. According to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which featured an exhibition of his work in 2016, Brumder's publishing company "played an important role in the cohesion of Milwaukee’s German-American community, publishing bibles, dictionaries, self-help books, fiction, biographies, children’s books, cookbooks, newspapers, and more."
