Lassie was first introduced to the public by author Eric Knight in The Saturday Evening Post in 1938, followed by the bestselling novel "Lassie Come-Home" in 1940. In 1943, the novel was adapted into a film starring Roddy McDowall, Elizabeth Taylor, and a rough collie named Pal. Based on other titles advertised on the dust jacket, we date this copy of "Lassie Come-Home" to the early 1950s.
