Octavo; [6], 246 pages (first blank leaf and last leaf with printer's statement wanting); 8.25 x 5.5 inches. Laid in is a personal letter from a former owner. Binding considerably worn with cracked joints and rear board nearly detached, some interior pencil markings, and foxing of the rear endpapers. Good only. Walter Pater was associated with the Aesthetic Movement and influenced writers like Oscar Wilde.
