Description: Mounted photographic print containing a portrait of a family, including a woman in a rolling chair. The verso contains a New Year's greeting and notes that the photo was taken in Asbury Park [New Jersey] in August 1907. Though they were initially intended for people with limited mobility, rolling chair rides became a popular recreational activity on the Atlantic City and Asbury Park boardwalks. 3.5 x 3.5 inches (print); 5 x 5 inches (mount). Print faded, with a spot of soiling; stain visible on verso of mount. Good.
