Designed and illustrated by Vance Gerry, printed by Patrick Reagh, and bound by Bela Blau. Title page illustrated in red, plus additional black-and-white illustrations. Bound in quarter black cloth with red paper over boards and red endpapers. 2.875 x 2.25 inches; [12], 30, [6] pages (first two leaves and last leaf blank). Very light wear to the covers and a ghost pencil marking on the front free endpaper. Fine and collectible. "Nothing to Wear" was first published anonymously in Harper's Weekly in 1857. Butler later admitted to being the author after another person claimed to be the author.
