With a foreword by the author's husband Octavus Roy Cohen, who was known for writing fiction that contained racist stereotypes and "dialect." Bound in full black cloth over boards, stamped in orange on the spine and front cover. In a purple pictorial dust jacket printed in black. Dust jacket and interior illustrations by Margaret Freeman. 7 x 5 inches; viii, [2], 79, [3] pages (last leaf blank). The book with light edgewear, but a clean and crisp interior; the dust jacket with small chips and tears, a sunned spine, and tape repairs to the verso of the front panel.
