Priced dust jacket ($3.95) with one lower corner of the front flap clipped, mild wear at the extremities, and light toning at the top edge of the flaps. The text and binding bright and clean. Fine in a Near Fine dust jacket. Of this book, the author Sharon Bell Mathis wrote, "I know of the strength and beauty that Black children have, and I wish to salute it. I'd like to write it across the sky and sign it, 'Love, Sharon.'" Winner of an award by the Council on Interracial Books for Children.
