Bound in full navy cloth, with lettering stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine. 8 x 5.5 inches; [2], x, 11-70, 70b-70c, 71-226, [2] pages (first and last leaves blank). Ink stamp ("Dec 20 1945") on title page, mild edgewear, faded lettering on the spine, and spotting of the text edges. The interior generally clean with the gilt still bright on the front cover. Very Good+. The author had been pushed out of the church for publicly sharing his teachings of Christian Science, a conflict which is alluded to on the title page verso, where he cites church founder Mary Baker Eddy's definition of "authorized literature" and states ""There is no reason why these books should not be freely circulated by members of the Mother Church, as they are clearly authorized..."
