Cracked joints, front board beginning to separate, spine chipped at the head and tail, scattered foxing to the interior and textblock edges, and old tape on endpapers. Fair to Good. First appeared as a serial in Knickerbocker's Magazine (1847–49) and as a book published by Hurst & Company in 1849.
